SK Stones supplies marble, granite, onyx, travertine and limestone across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Our showroom and cutting factory sits on Potohar Road in Sector I-9/3, the industrial quarter, which means the material you choose and the machine that cuts it are in the same building.
Islamabad sits closer to the source than any of our other branches. The Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa quarries that produce Ziarat white, Badal grey, Tavera and green onyx feed the I-9 yard directly, so for capital-region projects the stone is often quarry-to-site without an intermediate warehouse. Thirty years of buying at the block means we know which quarry face is producing well this season and which is not.
What we supply in Islamabad
- Marble — Ziarat white, Badal grey, Sunny white and grey, Verona, Michelangelo, plus imported Italian and Greek stone.
- Granite — Tropical grey, Sunny grey, black galaxy and a wide imported range for worktops, stairs and commercial floors.
- Onyx — green, honey and multi onyx, backlit-grade, from the Balochistan quarries closest to this branch.
- Travertine — classic, silver and noce, filled or unfilled, for terraces, driveways and pool surrounds.
- Limestone and sandstone — for facades and boundary walls across the Margalla foothills.
- Mosaic tiles, sinks and pavers — finished in our own factory.
Cut to size in Sector I-9
Cutting, calibrating and finishing all happen at the Potohar Road facility. Finishes include honed, polished, brushed, leathered, flamed and bush-hammered, and we cut to size for staircases, countertops, vanity tops, window sills and skirting, with edge profiles worked to your drawing.
For architects specifying a book-matched wall or a continuous vein across a run of stairs, we will reserve the block and cut the whole run from it rather than assembling it from whatever is in stock at the time.

Common questions about buying stone in Islamabad
Do you deliver to Rawalpindi as well?
Yes. The I-9/3 branch serves both cities, including Bahria Town, DHA, Saddar and the Grand Trunk Road corridor. Murree, Taxila, Wah Cantt and Attock are covered on request.
Which stone is best for Islamabad winters?
For outdoor terraces and steps, a brushed or flamed finish in granite or travertine gives grip when wet and handles freeze-thaw better than a polished surface. Polished marble is better kept indoors here. We will advise per area rather than per building.
Can you cut to a specific size for stairs and countertops?
Yes. Cut-to-size is done at the Potohar Road factory. Send the drawing or the site measurements and we will cut, profile the edge and finish to specification.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Regularly. We supply samples for presentation, reserve blocks against a specification, and hold material until the site is ready to receive it.
Is Pakistani marble as durable as imported marble?
For most applications, yes. Ziarat white and Badal grey are dense, hard-wearing stones that perform well in high-traffic areas. The choice between local and imported is usually about colour and veining rather than durability — and local stone costs less and arrives sooner.
